About Patisserie Valerie

In our havens of self-indulgence, you will discover hand-made cakes and patisserie, continental breakfasts, lunches, the finest teas and coffees and an atmosphere that is unique to each Valerie location.

We've worked hard to achieve an international reputation and this has been built on the quality of our products - hand-made using traditional methods resulting in award-winning croissants and Vienneoisserie.

Our popular and second-to-none bespoke special occasion cake and celebration cake service offers outstanding value for money. This is becoming increasingly popular through our online ordering service.

We have been creating sumptuous chocolate wedding cakes for years. We have a delicious collection of designs including the unusual Croque en bouche.

We make our own gelato - Italian style ice cream.

And we make the finest Confectionery - truffles, marzipan figures and more.

The original Patisserie Valerie first opened its doors in 1926, in Frith Street, when a Belgian born Madam Valerie decided to introduce a taste of the continent to the English.

We have been mentioned in interviews by Barbara Windsor and Ronnie Corbett - both are regulars. We were also mentioned in an episode of sitcom Absolutely Fabulous.

The ambience has inspired many artists including Nick Botting.

Druckers and Patisserie Valerie now share the same management team using the experience and expertise gained by both businesses over the years. Firstly we’ll open new Patisserie Valerie sites in and around the London area.

Look out for:

  • a fabulous all glass cafe, patisserie and gelateria opening in High Wycombe in Autumn 2008
  • a 'stand alone' café and gelateria with alfresco seating in the heart of Enfield's new Shopping Centre, due to open in Spring 2008
  • and a destination cafe, patisserie and brasserie in Bristol's new Merchant Centre late in 2008.

Soon Druckers will be introducing a selected range of Patisserie Valerie gateaux and celebration cakes into their cafes. These will be available to order online and can then be collected from any of their 42 branches spread across the UK.

All of this will be made possible by the facilities and production expertise available at Druckers. Exciting times are indeed ahead. So come back regularly to find out when all this - and much more - will be happening.
